Product Details
NGC powertrain controller for the 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK with the 3.8L V6 engine. On the JK platform, the PCM is located in the engine bay behind the battery on the driver side, protected by a splash shield. It controls sequential fuel injection, coil-on-plug ignition, and the 42RLE or W5A580 automatic transmission (or clutch position for manual models).
The 3.8L OHV V6 in the JK Wrangler has specific PCM calibration requirements for its pushrod valvetrain and throttle-by-wire system. Common failure symptoms include: intermittent stalling during tight turns at low speed (power steering load related), persistent P0456 small EVAP leak codes from PCM ground circuit corrosion, and erratic idle speed fluctuation on cold mornings.
VIN-programmed with WIN (Wireless Ignition Node) immobilizer sync. Bench-tested on vehicle bus simulator verifying proper TIPM communication and all sensor input/output circuits.
